The School of Medicine, formerly the School of Surgery, is a historic university building in the Latin Quarter, located in the 6th district of Paris.
Built on the site of the former Collège de Bourgogne, the building was successively occupied by the Royal Academy of Surgery and its School of Surgery, before surgeons and doctors were brought together. The building then became the Paris School of Health, then the Paris School of Medicine in 1798, before being established as a faculty in 1808.
Today, medicine is still taught there, as well as law and the humanities and social sciences. The site also houses an inter-university health library and a museum of medical history.
