The adulteress

In our Religions series :
Jesus’ intervention suspends the execution by stoning that the Pharisees intended for a woman accused of adultery. “Let him who is without sin among you cast the first stone“.
Below, two biblical scenes between the prophet Nathan and King David, after the latter had an adulterous relationship with Bathsheba, whose husband Uriah he later had killed. Nathan convinces David of the enormity of his crime and imposes penance.
