The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Milan, often abbreviated “the Duomo”, is the seat of the Archdiocese of Milan, Italy. Photo Circa 1900.

Construction began in 1386 and was completed five and a half centuries later, in 1965. It is the third largest church in the world after St Peter’s Basilica and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the See in Seville.
