Thus named as a result of four of the artist’s representations of one of the drawbridges built by the same Dutch engineer in the region. This bridge is the only one of the eleven realizations that escaped destruction by the retreating Germans during the Second World War World. It was initially located at Fos-sur-Mer and moved to a portion of the canal near Arles recalling more or less the landscapes of the paintings of the artist. The bridge is classified as a historical monument.
