Description

This view shows the end of the sandy beach known as the Talards, which bordered part of the port of Saint Malo. Two windmills were located there.
The fortified town and its ramparts do not appear in this image. Instead, it shows purely imaginary mountains on the horizon!
The rue des Talards still exists today on this site, in the railway station area.
