Louis Pasteur and his granddaughter Camille Vallery-Radot

This engraving was inspired by a painting by the painter Leon Joseph Florentin Bonnat, executed in 1886. At the time, the great French scientist was 64 years old.
His granddaughter Camille was 6 years old. Later, she developed a passion for another French historical figure: Joan of Arc, around whom she gathered a vast collection of 10,000 documents.
