The Flood

In our Religions series :
The earth is submerged, the result of God’s wrath against mankind. In the open sea, on the horizon, sails the Ark built by a virtuous man, Noah and his family, on God’s orders.
In the foreground, the few survivors who took refuge on higher ground will soon be drowned by the rising waters.
Inset below: in the centre, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are destroyed by fire from heaven. Loth’s wife is turned into a statue of salt. On the right, Samson asleep at the feet of enchantress but wicked Delilah. On the left, two of Jacob’s sons carry out a massacre at the court of King Shechem.
