La Grave Hospital, Toulouse, France.

During the Middle Ages, the hospital was used to treat people suffering from the plague. From 1647 onwards, it served as a large detention centre for beggars, prostitutes and the mentally ill. Covering nearly six hectares, La Grave was the second largest hospital and the main maternity hospital in Toulouse for much of the 20th century.
